You might surprise yourself at how many things you actually are grateful for. One thing you might do that might make you feel at least a little bit better: make a gratitude list or keep a journal & routinely note things you are grateful for in it. What a goal might be for grieving a loss: being able to feel your feelings but to be able to cope with them & not to be miserable. Moving Through Grief: Proven Techniques for Finding Your Way After Any Loss by Gretchen Kubacky PSYD Grief Day By Day: Simple Practices and Daily Guidance for Living with Loss by Jan Warner (my favorite book) Although commonly referenced in popular culture, studies have not empirically demonstrated the existence of these stages, and the model is considered to be outdated, inaccurate, and unhelpful in explaining the grieving process. The five stages of grief model (or the Kübler-Ross model) postulates that those experiencing grief go through a series of five emotions: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. I took notes as I did this & I'm going to type up some of my notes & post them, to share.

The books helped me work on myself, to try to accept. I had occasion to work through some grieving & I used a couple of books, liking some more than others. My cousin Barbara Cire, my Uncle Aubra Evans (my last uncle), my friend & ex of 18 yrs Tance Lavelle, my Aunt Jackie, my Aunt Jo, my close friend & chosen sister who I talked to on the phone every day, (since 1974) Margi and now, differently but still important my favorite famous person Anne Heche. I have had what seems like so many people to die between the fall of 2021 & now. If it's not I will be glad to delete it or have it deleted. I am not sure if it's okay to post this here.
